1. Purpose
This policy explains how users can delete their accounts from Platix, and how Platix manages user data following such a request, in compliance with applicable data protection laws including the DPDP Act, 2023 (India).
2. Who Can Request Deletion
Registered users (dentists, dental laboratories, radiology centers, etc.) can request account deletion at any time.
Deletion requests must come from the registered email associated with the account.
3. How to Request Deletion
Users can delete their account through:
– In-App: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the prompts.
– Email Request: Send an email to naresh@platix.in with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and include your registered mobile number.
4. Data Deleted Upon Account Removal
Upon confirmation, the following data will be deleted:
– User profile information (name, contact details, registration details)
– Uploaded documents and media
– Order and transaction history *display* (data will be anonymized for legal retention)
– Communication logs associated with the account
5. Data Retention & Exceptions
Certain data may be retained for legal, tax, or audit purposes:
– Invoices and financial transaction records (retained for 8 years as per Indian tax laws)
– Communication logs with customer support (retained for 1 year)
– Anonymized data for internal analytics and operational insights
6. Deletion Timeline
Deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.
Users will receive a confirmation email upon successful deletion.
7. Effect of Deletion
Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.
Users will lose access to all services, subscriptions, order history, and associated data.
8. Policy Updates
Platix reserves the right to update this policy. All users will be notified of any major changes via email and in-app notifications.
